Skin Screening FHIR Implementation Guide

Welcome to the Skin Screening Implementation Guide, developed at the Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre (RBRC), Adelaide University, Australia.

Purpose & Clinical Scope

This implementation guide standardizes data exchange for:

• Patient Skin Cancer Risk Profiles: Capturing phototypes (Fitzpatrick scale), family history, and UV exposure.
• Lesion-Level Examination Findings: Standardized anatomical mapping, morphological characteristics (ABCDE criteria), and dermoscopic features.
• Teledermatology & Clinical Workflow: Asynchronous primary-to-specialist referrals, biopsy requests, and monitoring logs.
